The sacramental auto spiritual marriage between Pastor Pedro and the Mexican Church, by Father Juan Pérez Ramírez, was represented as part of the pomp with which the new Archbishop of Mexico, Pedro Moya de Contreras, was received, 2 and was useful to catechize about the figure of the bishop and the love of the New Spanish church for its pastor as vicar of Jesus Christ.
